'The Cheese' is a LPFM run by Grant Thoms as a hobby. Grant has over
10+ years commercial radio experience, leaving commercial radio
back in 2001. The radio 'bug' bit back hard with the culmanation of
several years yearning and planning to start up a LPFM (Low Power FM) radio
station in Wainuiomata. This finally happened and 'The Cheese' launched
on July 1st 2006.

'The Cheese' plays a variety of music from the 80s, 90s and Today and is
commercial free. It broadcasts 24 hours a day from Grant's home studio
on 88.4FM. Listeners can also tune in via Shoutcast.com and listen in
from anywhere in the world. The station is run as a hobby and as such runs
on a tight budget. Sponsors for shows, donations etc are always
gratefully accepted.

Spread the word about 'The Cheese' and together we can have a great
little community radio station.

Currently we are seeking sponsorship for the Weather (Mon-Sun 6am to
6pm), '80s Meltdown' (Fridays 9am-11am and Saturdays 1pm-3pm)
and 'Cheeze Pleeze' (Sundays at 4pm).
